Before going to bed, thank God for the blessings you have experienced during the day.

Close your eyes and try to run a video of your day’s happenings. Try to think of someone who offered you a kind word, compliment or kind act.  Someone who took the time to listen to you without interruption. Maybe it was simply the time spent at a child’s extracurricular activity, visiting an elderly parent or grandparent or a conversation with a loved one on the phone.

Can’t think of something special in your day?  How about expressing gratitude for having basic needs met- your warm bed, food, clothing etc.
