Welcome to the St. Pius X Middle School Youth Ministry page! Middle School Youth Ministry (MSYM) is our Parish’s faith formation program for our 6th, 7th, and 8th grade youth. Our mission is to lead teens and families closer to Christ.
All middle school youth are invited to join us as we dive deeper into our faith in a fun, dynamic way, and live it out through service and action! MSYM begins in the fall and continues through the spring. We meet Tuesday evenings, 7:00-8:15 pm
Our ministry today looks a lot different than it did in early March, 2020. The good news is our God is greater than a pandemic, and He continues to reveal Himself to us each day.
As we do our best to continue with MSYM, we ask for your continued prayers and patience as all of our plans are subject to change with current health circumstances.
Heading into the Fall of 2020, we are offering two models of our program: in-person or virtual. We are asking our families to commit to one model through the fall. This can be changed in January of 2021.
Our in-person youth ministry will continue as it has been, with social distancing and safety adaptations. We will gather Tuesday evenings, 7:00-8:15 pm. In the spirit of forming discipleship among our Core Team and youth, a large portion of our ministry nights are spent gathered in small groups. In accordance with the diocesan safety guidelines and CDC protocol, we will be maintaining the same small groups throughout the year.
Our virtual youth ministry nights will gather Tuesday evenings on Zoom from 7:30-8:15 pm. Our Core team will be sending out a video message of faith each week to be watched prior to our Zoom gatherings. We will gather in prayer, play a few games, and break open this message together in small groups via Zoom.
As you get ready for the upcoming year, here are the next steps:
