One smile brings many smiles – to those who need it most!

Fran Johnson had a sudden and unexpected turn of events with the loss of her husband and soul mate in 2017.  Fran’s faith and naturally outgoing nature helped her navigate grief and take one smile and turn it into many.  Opening her heart to God’s calling, she started to volunteer as part of her healing journey.  Going to nursing homes to bring a bit of joy to people, brought a smile to Fran’s face as well as all the seniors she now visits on a regular basis.  Last year she added Chita as her visiting service dog, who everyone just loves to pet and hold! Being involved has helped Fran fill a void with compassion for those in need.  Fran cares for many as an operating room nurse for over 31 years and is able to work full-time as well as volunteer at local nursing homes, as a greeter, leading the hospitality ministry as well as being involved in ministries like Capital City Rescue Mission.  When asked; “what does it take to Share 10?” Fran simply said, “start with a smile, say something kind and bring a little joy to people!”
