Welcome to Gather 10!

The place where our great big church becomes a great small church!

Catholics typically pray alone or in a large group setting, such as in a church. However, today’s Catholic can also find meaningful moments of prayer and community in smaller groups with a few other believers.

We encourage everyone at St. Pius X to be involved with Gather 10/ Small Groups. For additional information click on one of the buttons below or contact Ann Rose at smallgroups@stpiusxloudonville.org or at 518-462-1336

Why Join?

To develop or strengthen your relationship not only with Christ, but with those sitting next to you in the pew. Members pray for one another, care for one another, and develop friendships with others who are growing in their faith.

What is Discussed?

We gather for 90 minutes and discuss the weekly Sunday readings using discussion questions to help us understand how best to combine our spiritual and everyday lives.

Who Joins?

Groups usually consist of 6-10 people. Invite your friends, family, and neighbors. Everyone is welcome!

Group Types

There are several groups from which to choose such as Men Only, Women Only, Mixed Groups, Young Adults (college age to mid-30’s) and Married Couples. You may also start your own.

Who Stays?

Those who have joined a group have consistently returned, either signing up for a new group each session or by reconvening with a prior group. We also have groups that have stayed togeher and met continuously since the ministry was introduced in 2018

Misconceptions

The biggest misconception is you have to know a lot about Catholicism and/or the Bible. Listening to what others have to say about how their faith and life experiences intertwine is incredibly beneficial in understanding the messages of the scripture.
