Dear St. Pius Parish Family,

As of Monday, March 16, Bishop Scharfenberger has suspended the celebration of Masses in all churches in our diocese (except for funerals and weddings) until further notice due to growing concerns related to the spread of COVID – 19 in social settings.  Please visit the following link (www.rcda.org/coronavirus) to view the diocesan guidelines.  Please note the following information specific to St. Pius. *All daily and weekend masses are cancelled until further notice.

* All liturgies and activities that take place on parish and school grounds have been cancelled until further notice.

* The church and chapel will remain open for private prayer from 7:00 am to 5:00 pm weekdays and 8:00 am to 5:00 pm on weekends.

*Besides here on our website, the best way to keep abreast of the status of parish activities is through constant contact (send us your email address if we don’t have it), Facebook and myParishApp.

* Sunday Mass can be viewed here after 4:00 pm on Saturdays for the upcoming weekend.

*Confessions, weddings and funerals have been cancelled until further notice.  A graveside service can be held for those who have died and a memorial Mass can be held later when Masses resume.

* We have erected a prayer tent on our parish property outside the chapel doors.  Please stop by and say a prayer.

During these challenging times, please pray for those who have contracted this disease, those who have died from it and their families, and for all medical personnel trying to bring comfort to those afflicted.  Please reach out to those who are isolated and home bound to let them know you are thinking of them.  Never forget that our Lord is always present to us in these challenging times.

Fr. Walsh
