Lenten Opportunities 2017
Our theme this Lent will be “Take 10 for Lent – It’ll change your life.” This refers to making a commitment to taking 10 minutes a day to connect to God through prayer.
Join us on Fridays in Lent for Stations of the Cross at 1:30 pm (student stations – final one on April 7) and 7:00 pm (traditional stations – final one on April 7). Stations will be offered on Good Friday at 12:10 pm.
Walk and Talk (with Jesus) – Join us on Tuesdays in Lent from 12:10 pm – 12:40 pm in the church as we exercise and pray simultaneously. Fr. Walsh will offer very short reflections every 10 minutes as we walk the inside perimeter of the church and quietly pray. Moms and Dad with babies in tow are welcome. Babysitting will be available for toddlers and pre-school aged children.
Sit and Listen – Join us on Thursday, April 6, for our final Sit and Listen of Lent from 7:00 pm – 7:30 pm in the chapel. Fr. Steve will lead us in the beauty of silence and listening to God. Due to the nature of this prayer please plan to arrive no later than 7:05 pm. Look for information in the Easter bulletin about Fr. Steve continuing this through April.
Lenten Penance Service – Tuesday, April 4 at 7:00 pm. Also, confessions on Saturdays from 4:15 pm – 4:45 pm in the church. Please click here for additional reconciliation opportunities during Holy Week.
Lenten Weekend Masses (Saturday 5:00 pm and Sunday 8:00 and 10:00 am and 12 noon) – the readings this Lent (cycle “A”) are particularly beautiful. There is much application to our daily lives. Join us!
- Lenten Weekday Masses – 6:30 am and 9:00 am Monday through Friday, 7:00 pm on Tuesday and 9:00 am on Saturday.
