The meeting was called to order by Cindy Pettit, President, at 7:10 PM. 
 
In attendance:  Justyn Bates,Harvey Bowks, Kate Burns, Jill Counihan, Dick Connery, John Defillippo, Jackie DeSanti, Thomas Fallati, Caitlin Mason, Mary Nardolillo, Marlene Papa, Cindy Pettit, Frank Pugliano, JudyRanalli  and Lana Zanello.  Excused: Fr. Farano, Fr. Moore, Tom Christman, Dennis Mullahy and Paul Kutey.
 
Intentions were made for several friends and relatives. 
 
The minutes of the last month's meeting were approved with a correction.  On the second page, Financial Report, sentence should read:  The Religious Ed. Program generated about $22,000 in revenue which was up from last year. 
 
Dick Connery celebrated his 50th Wedding Anniversary.  Congratulations and good health to Dick and his wife.
 
School Board -  John DeFilippo: Spirit Day will be held on June 9  Anyone who wishes to help may sign up at the school office.  Last year several board members attended.  May 19th there will be a Summer reading program at Barnes and Nobles.  There will be reading by the classroom teachers.  Part of the proceeds of all book sales that evening will go to the school.  Last year the evening generated about $4,000 in revenue.
 
5/22 PSA will host a Flapjack Fundraiser at Applebee’s.
 
Religious Education - Judy Ranalli: Everything is ready for the Religious Education First Communion on May 1st.  There will be two Masses. 
 
Christian Works and Service – Tom: On May 15th & 16th there will be a clothing collection for Catholic Charities and Maternity Community Services.  Spring and Summer clothing is needed as well as infant clothing, diapers, and gently used baby clothing.
 
There was an offer of home improvement services proposed by a parishioner.  We would have to know more about the offer from the parishioners; insurance, cost, etc. Tabled until 5/19 meeting
 
Welcoming and Hospitality - Ministry Appreciation Dessert Party - Jackie and Marlene: Over 100 attended the dessert party.  They seemed to stay and visit with each other.  Friday night seems to be good choice of evenings.  
 
Kate Burns said that Welcoming and Hospitality will be re-convening. Welcoming will be the foundation and then hospitality will follow.
 
Prayer and Worship - Frank There was an enrichment program on March 6 for all lectors in the Colonie parishes.  Consideration is being given to having a similar session sometime in the fall for eucharistic ministers in the Colonie parishes.
 

Public Relations – Cindy: Cindy spoke about the work on the "new" web page for the parish.  Information had been categorized and research will begin to accumulate the data.
 
Discernment – Dick: There will be a informational meeting after the 7PM Mass on 6/1. Discernment will be 6/9/2010. Council members are encouraged to attend on 6/1 to share their thoughts with those discerning. Please invite parishioners to join the informational meeting.
 
New Business

The Spring Enrichment Program will be held on May 10 - May 13 at the college of St. Rose.  Please submit your application by Friday.
 
Ushers – update on the status of the group tabled until 5/19 meeting. 
 
Caitlyn Mason is looking for a video project for college and offered to create one about the parish.
