The groups could be made into smaller groups and hold some activities of interest to the age groups. Father Farano said that the Bishop had hosted a few get together but they were held within church quarters. Perhaps having them at an outside venue would attract more young persons. Brian mentioned “Theology on Tap. Brian will send a copy of all of the links to all council members.
There was also a question whether we should be working on this project just in our church or should it be a program working with all of the churches in our Colonie area.
Fr. Farano’s comments
Father Farano participated in a meeting with Brian and Judy to discuss youth faith formation. He said there was a lot of great discussion in this meeting. He said that perhaps the activities could be broken down into cohorts, 8th grade – 18 and then l8 and beyond. They discussed short and long range options.
The team will catalog what is currently being offered. Then a few items will be selected with a time line for completion.
