Dear Friends,
Welcome to the web site of St. Pius X Parish, Loudonville New York. The roots of this Roman Catholic faith community go back to 1916 when the pastor of our mother parish, St. Francis de Sales (now, Christ, Our Light), celebrated Mass for the few Catholics that resided in the Loudonville area. From those humble beginnings our parish family gradually grew and in September, 1951 we were established as a parish in our own right. After Christ, especially in the Holy Eucharist, our greatest asset is the people who call this parish their spiritual home. It is only through the prayers and generosity of our parishioners that St. Pius X Parish is able to embrace our mission.
As a Catholic community of faith, we seek to proclaim Jesus Christ as the Savior and Redeemer of the world. Through him comes all salvation, and in him we find our focus and the reason for living. The ministries of our parish community, especially to the poor, seek to carry out Jesus’ great command as recorded in Matthew: “Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.” (Mt. 28:19)
As you navigate our parish web site, I invite you to offer a prayer for our parish community. It is only through prayer, first and foremost the prayer of the Mass, that we are able to remain faithful to our baptismal calling as individuals and as a community of faith.
